The Early Years...

The seeds for Lonergan Cues were sown many years ago when I began working in a local snooker hall in 2007. Replacing tips was where it all began, quickly followed by small repairs, refinishing etc.

What happened next....

Within a few months of doing small repairs a passion for cue making was beginning to develop and as luck would have it, there were a couple of other cue makers nearby that were on hand to offer practical advice and share some knowledge and it wasn't long before the first cue was made.

Then what happened....

Over the next 2-3 years there were many cues made and many cues scrapped! Cue making is somewhat of a dark art and trial and error is a big part of the learning process. This period was crucial and got Lonergan Cues to where it is today. Methods were tweaked and tinkered with during this period until the end product was good enough to sell and more importantly would last for years to come.

Where are we today....

It's now been 15 years since the very first repairs were completed and 12 years or so since the first cue was sold.
Mastering the art of cue making is a never ending process and I always look for any possible improvements to put Lonergan Cues ahead of the competition.
